The Awareness Practice LLC--Cynthia Elizabeth Leach, MSW, LCSW, LMFT
I'd like to introduce you to The Awareness Practice™: my solo private practice. Founded in 2012 -- The Awareness Practice™ offers psychotherapy and EAP services to individuals, families, couples and groups. I am a NJ Lic. Clinical Social Worker, NJ Lic. Marriage and Family Therapist and FL Lic. Clinical Social Worker. Although my full name is Cynthia Elizabeth Leach--I prefer to be called by my middle name, Elizabeth or Liz.
I'm glad you've found me. I am very familiar with many of the issues that you as a college student face, especially those of you in the greater Princeton, NJ, area, where I have lived and worked for many years. In almost all the clinical settings that I have worked, college students have been a significant population. Even as an intern, I worked with undergraduates at Marymount Manhattan College Counseling Center; and beyond clinical work, I have also served as a adjunct professor, working with graduate and post-graduate students.
I am known for some of the groups I offer to college, graduate students, and recent graduates--such as: Quarter Life Crisis, Social Anxiety and Recovering your Creativity groups.
My work with you will be customized and integrative, informed by a wide array of treatment modalities and drawing from the evidence base. We'll co-create our treatment plan and the work we do together.
With a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University (NYU) and a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Comparative Religion and Cultures from Brown University—I have taught graduate and post-graduate students at NYU School of Social Work as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer in psychotherapy-related subject matters.
Please feel free to give me a call. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
