Cynthia Jordan, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Eugene, Oregon. As a fellow UO Duck I am passionate about helping UO students manage and maintain their mental health. I have experience working with students for over 16 years. I have therapeutically supported students experiencing generalized and academic anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, depression, chronic and acute medical conditions, life adjustments, stress management, grief and loss, and trauma. I work to help you identify patterns that are keeping you stuck, stagnant, and from reaching your full potential.
I am committed to supporting individuals heal from their traumatic experiences and allow their vulnerable selves to feel seen. I have experience working with students who have experienced physical, relationship, or sexual trauma. I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitivation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA2+ students who are experiencing discrimination, marginalization, dismissal, and micro and macro aggressions.
I have completed trainings and hold certifications in Eye Movement Desensitzation and Reprocessing (EMDR), ACT, DBT, CBT, and mindfulness.
Therapy is a courageous act that requires vulnerability, authenticity, and an openness to self-discovery. If you are ready to begin this process I look forward to connecting with you.
