Corrie Burwell

Hello! My name is Corrie, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Health in Mind team. Life has its challenges, but you do not have to face them alone! Sometimes a major transition is overwhelming. Sometimes loss or trauma threatens your ability to carry on. Sometimes difficult thoughts and feelings keep you stuck in anxiety or depression. Whatever the challenges you are facing, I will support you in developing the tools you need to live for what truly matters to you. I look forward to encouraging you as you explore your unique life story and write the next chapter.

I enjoy working with individuals of all ages. As a parent and a therapist, I have experience working with kids who have various needs and abilities, and I am passionate about helping parents develop the ability to connect with their children. My background includes work in outpatient and youth residential settings. I typically use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Trauma-informed ACT (TFACT), mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and polyvagal theory in my work.
