Hello, I'm Colleen. For over 20 years, I've had the privilege of working with children, families, and adults who are navigating life's challenges. Whether you're dealing with social stressors, anxiety, chronic health conditions, terminal illness, life transitions, grief, or loss, I'm here to support you every step of the way. My journey has taken me through various roles in government agencies, hospitals, home health care, and hospice, providing me with a rich and diverse background to draw from in our sessions together.

I believe in a person-centered approach to therapy, which means that I see you as the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you uncover your strengths and achieve your goals. I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods, including narrative therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic theory, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, tailoring my approach to meet your unique needs.

In 1994, I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and in 1997, I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia, and I specialize in areas such as dementia, anxiety, family relationships, grief and bereavement, life transitions, medical issues and physical health, spirituality, stress, and depression. Additionally, I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer or require remote sessions.

Working with me means that you'll have a compassionate and experienced partner in your journey toward healing and growth. I understand that reaching out for help can be daunting, but I want you to know that you're not alone. Together, we can navigate the complexities of life and work towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.

If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here to help. Let's connect and start this journey together.
