Girasol Counseling is a Latine, women, and queer owned group practice. At Girasol Counseling we are committed to the work of de-stigmatization and decolonization of mental health that advocates for collective healing practices grounded in liberation, culture, and spirituality. We believe that everyone has the inner capacity for healing ignited through self discovery and community. Our role as therapists is to facilitate healing and support your journey in homecoming to your essential self/your tribe/community of trust/sagna.
We specialize in Trauma, Somatic, and Relational work. We provide therapy for individuals, children/youth/family, and couples. In therapy, we use a holistic approach that includes EMDR, Trauma Focused CBT, Trauma Focused Narrative Therapy, Relational Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Nutritional Mental Health Education, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness.
