Hi, I'm Ciera and I'm a sex and relationship therapist. I specialize in working with clients who have been hurt by experiences with a church or religion. They might have experienced purity culture and still carry sexual shame. They might have experienced oppression as women or queer person in a hetero-patriarchal religion. They might have religious family who they love but don't know how to be in relationship with.
Religious harm or church hurt can be confusing to experience. My clients often experience confusion and shame. I help these clients better understand their own experiences, find peace and acceptance with their bodies and sexuality, and leave shame in the past.
As a queer and neurodivergent person myself, I always practice from an affirming place.
