It's time to learn to recognize the lies you've accepted your entire life. Emotional Manipulation is often difficult to identify, yet the effects are recognizable. Feelings of guilt and being out of control, fear, avoidance, resentment and even anxiety or depression can be manifest. A history of abuse or learning that it's not OK or safe to set limits or boundaries on unhealthy behavior is often the case. We'll explore differences between loving versus enabling and how to challenge negative thinking and behaviors. Mutually satisfying and fulfilling relationships are possible.

Using CBT from a Christian perspective focuses on challenging thinking and behavior to align to what the Word of God, Jesus Christ, says. "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought captive to the obedience of Jesus Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:5
