Christina Gallardo
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have been a therapist for 17 years and have dedicated my life to helping others overcome painful experiences, manage emotions and find healing. I specialize in treating adults struggling with anxiety, substance use and working with the LGBTQ+ community.
My therapeutic style is warm, supportive and encouraging. I use a nonjudgmental approach focused on empowering you to make changes in your life. My approach is rooted in the understanding of how systemic inequality impacts those of us with marginalized identities. We each have unique experiences and needs and one therapeutic approach will not work for everyone. I will work to understand you and your goals for our time together. Together we will determine what steps you need to take to get where you want to be. Painful experiences and overwhelming emotions can leave you feeling helpless and out of control. My goal is to teach you tools to regain your sense of control and learn how to trust yourself. I focus on helping you identify your strengths and makes changes in your life.
