Chris is straight forward, motivating, and provides a safe space to both laugh and cry. Clients say he’s educated and savvy like an experienced therapist but relevant and youthful to college students.
Chris has over 25 years of experience working in behavioral health. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Georgia.
Chris has worked in both the private and public sector and with a variety of populations. He has extensive work history with adolescents and adults. Chris has worked with mental health issues like depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship concerns, and substance abuse. He also has experience working with the LGBTQ+ population. He focuses on genuine interactions and supporting others in their path toward healing and wellness.
Chris has extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). He completed a 10-day DBT training with Michael and advanced training with Charlie Swenson. In addition, he has completed education for Adolescent DBT, Radically Open DBT, and DBT for couples.
