The majority of my experience is working with adults having challenges with relationships, difficult emotional issues, and in simply learning to live a happy life.I work with people who are committed to their own personal growth and willing to make the necessary changes to be true to themselves and have integrity with others.
I incorporate traditional therapeutic approaches in a compassionate yet direct manner as well as hypnotherapy, Sensorimotor therapy, Relational trauma therapy from Pia Melodies work, & cognitive-behavioral therapy. .I have a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Regis, in addition to my private practice I facilitated groups at West Pines hospital- psychiatric and chemical dependency units.
I have been a meditation practitioner and instructor for 15 years. In terms of psychological well being meditation is one of the best a methods in reducing stress, anxiety, addiction, and depression. When meditation is combined with other therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the combination is 50% more successful than CBT alone .
