Chesapeake Mental Health Collaborative, Towson, MD
Provider Types
This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
- Art Therapists
- Licensed Mental Health Counselors
As an art therapist, I help clients address mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma and difficulty adjusting to change. I work individually and in small groups with a strength-based, person-centered, and holistic approach. When we work together, you will experience genuine warmth and curiosity about your experiences for deeper reflection and processing. Art in therapy helps people find a way visualize and understand their experiences. I offer patient and empathetic support when working through trauma with safety in mind. Art making with diverse materials supports long term self-care and health.
I specialize in nature-informed art therapy. This includes the use of ethically sourced natural materials in therapy either indoors & outside. In the past, I have worked as a professional artist and professor in higher education. I am well informed about visual art materials/processes. I am sensitive to diverse populations and practice cultural humility. I am an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.
If you are struggling with depression, loss/grief, trauma, stress or anxiety. If there are mental health needs that you do not understand and wonder if art and/or nature-related therapy is for you, please reach out and contact me. I work in Towson, Maryland and also offer tele-health. AATA's ethical codes are followed to establish safety, confidence, and trust.
