Starting therapy can feel like a big step—and it’s completely normal to feel unsure about what to expect. In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin building a strong foundation for our work together. I’ll walk you through important information like your rights, confidentiality, and how the counseling process works so you feel informed and comfortable from the start.
More importantly, this is your space to share what’s been weighing on you and what you’d like to change. I’ll ask some thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, challenges, and goals so we can begin shaping a plan that truly fits you.
My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be yourself—without judgment. Many people come into therapy feeling guarded, and that makes sense, especially if you’ve been hurt or aren’t sure what to expect. I approach therapy with transparency, respect, and genuine curiosity about who you are.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start. When you’re able to show up as you are, that’s where meaningful change begins—and I’ll be there to support you every step of the way.
