Chabreah Alston

Hello, I'm Chabreah! I received my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts Performance & Psychology from the State University of New York at New Paltz and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Drama Therapy from Lesley University. As a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., I bring a sense of community and dedication to my practice.

I am an effervescent and empathic person who truly will see you. My approach is collaborative, working closely with you to meet your needs and realign your soul to gain a sense of peace. I use a Trauma-Informed approach to treat individuals and groups, ensuring that you feel safe, seen, and heard throughout the therapeutic process.

My experience spans various therapeutic methods, including Expressive Therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Substance Use Prevention and Treatment, Sober Living, Positive Psychology, and working with Court-Involved youth and families. I believe in utilizing my own creativity to enhance others’ creativity in the therapeutic process.

I specialize in a wide range of areas such as suicidal ideation and/or self-harming, multicultural/diversity issues, sex/intimacy issues, dissociative disorders, family relationships, trauma, borderline personality disorder, LGBTQIA+ support, anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, adolescent & teen mental/behavioral health, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum support, gender identity, intimate/romantic relationships, grief/bereavement, life transitions, medical issues/physical health, PTSD, spirituality, and perinatal support including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum care. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions.
