College life can be HARD. Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, new life adjustments, or struggling with the unique challenges of college life, we all need support sometimes. I believe that all people have the power within themselves to strive towards positive growth and change when provided with a safe, accepting environment. My approach to counseling focuses on facilitating a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, genuineness, and unconditional acceptance. I see my clients as collaborative partners, and together we work towards meeting their goals.
I specialize in several therapy approaches, and work hard to integrate self exploration, learning new skills and coping techniques, and creative outlets such as expressive arts therapy into the traditional talk therapy model. I have experience working with clients of all ages in a variety of settings, including in schools and private practice. I have also worked with adults in both private practice settings and at the university level at an Autism Support Program.
As a person-centered therapist, I trust both in the power of the unconditionally accepting therapeutic relationship, and in my client’s capacity to heal and change. I meet my clients where they are and we will go on a journey towards healing together.
