Cassie Halder, LCSW
Cassie operates out of a trauma informed lens. Additionally, she utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based, and cognitive behavioral theoretical orientation. Cassie is a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) clinician and practices DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) informed treatment.
Cassie believes there is not one technique that works for all individuals; therefore, the core of her professional work begins with creating a healthy therapeutic alliance. She is part of a multi-cultural family and values working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. She believes when individuals can understand and respect each other, a foundation exists where sharing, processing, and healing can take place. Cassie offers telehealth sessions to individuals in Michigan and in-person sessions in Lansing (about 5 minutes from MSU's campus).
