If you have ever walked into a room and wondered whether the space was really built for you, that feeling makes sense and you are in the right place.
A lot of students who come to us have been carrying a lot. The pressure to hold it together for your family. The feeling of being between two worlds and fully belonging to neither.
Anxiety that shows up as perfectionism, people-pleasing, or just never feeling like enough. Postpartum stress if you are a student who is also a new parent. Grief, identity questions, faith-related struggles that you have never said out loud to a therapist because you were not sure they would understand.
At New York Multicultural Counseling, you do not have to explain your culture before we can get to work. We are a culturally responsive practice that specializes in care for AMEMSA and BIPOC communities. That means Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, South Asian, and Black and brown clients who are tired of being the first person in the room to educate everyone else about their own life.
We work with adults 18 and older. Sessions are available virtually across New York and in person in Manhasset, NY. We accept multiple insurance plans and verify your benefits before your first session so there are no surprises.
If any of this sounds like what you have been looking for, book a free 20-minute consultation. No commitment. Just a conversation.
