Many people view therapy as a place to go to *feel* better. My first aim is to help you *live* better–which will likely result in your feeling more fulfilled. Clients describe me as compassionate, caring, and challenging. My approach combines my knowledge of psychological theories and techniques with my energetic and interactive style. Working together, we will identify the ways in which your unproductive thought, emotional, and behavioral patterns prevent you from living a life consistent with your values and from achieving your goals. I enjoy helping clients think about what, if anything, they want to change about how they live. I provide the techniques, skills, and support to help you make these changes.
I specialize in helping clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship/interpersonal/family difficulties, identity development, and in helping individuals identify and clarify what matters most to them. I also have a special interest in (and completed my dissertation on) causes of, and interventions for, procrastination.
