Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LICSW, LCSW
Last Updated 30+ days ago

Hi! I'm Bernadette and I am a licensed clinical social worker and I received my MSW from Columbia University. I use a variety of clinical modalities rooted in CBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing and problem solving therapy. I have experience in working with issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, loss and grief, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, poverty, sexuality and gender, and stress management. My approach to therapy is guided by the firm belief that the strength of the therapist-client relationship is the most important element of successful treatment.

Together, we will navigate the obstacles through a foundation of trust, transparency and maybe even some humor. I enjoy working with motivated clients who are seeking to make positive changes in their lives and I am committed to making this process as supportive as possible.

I am committed to decreasing the barriers to mental health services and due to this, my practice is 100% virtual. Having this option allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship where we are actively working on both short and long terms goals each time we meet. I will offer you real feedback rather than silent nods!
