Navigating the college years is amazing and low key terrifying at times. Things happen when we get out on our own. We don't always want to turn to certain people for a variety of reasons - privacy, embarrassment, or maybe feeling like you should know how to handle it and you are realizing you need some guidance. Money issues, social dynamics, romantic interactions, or becoming independent from our family of origin, are all things that can really kick us in the teeth when we strike out on our own. It's normal to become overwhelmed by the emotions and awareness. Issues from our past might catch up to us as well. That's shocking particularly if life is grand otherwise.
