Counselor, LPC
Accepting clients Last Updated 11 days ago

Hi, I’m Ashley (she/her)! I’m a licensed professional counselor with licenses in Mississippi and Texas. I graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with my bachelor’s in psychology in 2017 and my master’s in counseling psychology in 2020. I’ve worked in different settings including telehealth, homes, schools, and an acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital.
Together, we’ll explore your experiences, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to expand your self-understanding. That allows us to develop healthier patterns and learn effective coping skills to help create lasting, positive change in a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your safety, growth, and autonomy are prioritized.

I have experience supporting clients as they navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, dysfunctional patterns, and life transitions. I provide gender-affirming, LGBTQ+ inclusive, culturally sensitive, person-centered therapy. I believe that each person that comes into this space deserves a treatment approach that is tailored to their unique needs and experiences. To help ensure that, I integrate key parts of various evidence-based treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), strengths-based therapy, and compassion-focused therapy (CFT) to best meet your needs. I encourage and welcome transparent feedback so we can adjust our approach as needed.
There is never a time that it’s too late to do something different or to start something new. Progress takes time, and it’s normal to have ups and downs while still making progress. My goal is to support you through your healing journey and help you become the version of you that you like best. “No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who hasn’t started.” Every day, we make a choice, to continue living in comfortable misery or to take even the smallest step toward being uncomfortably happier; but first, you must choose you.
