At Art of Awareness Wellness Center, safety, balance, and creative healing are the foundation of our work. We envision a healing journey in which health and wellness are a parallel process for the both the care receiver and care provider.
Art of Awareness Wellness Center is run by a collaboration of therapists. Located in the Knightsville neighborhood of South Portland, ME, our center overlooks the Fore River and the Casco Bay Bridge and is just a short walk from beautiful Thomas Knight Park.
Our center houses a psychotherapy practice offering individual, family, relationship therapy, and group therapy. Art of Awareness is a hybrid psychotherapy organization that offers in-person as well as telehealth services. Our New Client Referral form allows us to gather basic information about your treatment needs to aid us in matching you with a therapist.
How to Get Started:
New clients or providers can send a completed New Client Referral Form (NCR) to clientservices@artofawareness.org. A member of our administrative team will confirm that your NCR has been received within 2-4 business days.
If you are a guardian or a provider completing the NCR on behalf of a potential new client who is not a minor, please have the individual complete an Authorization to Release Information if the individual would like for us to be able to communicate with whomever will be completing and sending the NCR.
Placement Process:
Once we have received a completed NCR, clients will be matched with a clinician as soon as possible. Wait times for placement may fluctuate depending on client/clincian availability, volume of referrals, insurance, and other factors that may impact how soon we may be able to place a new client with a clincian.
Insurance and Payment Information:
Because insurance coverage varies by individual, we cannot guarantee coverage. Included in the New Client Referral Form is a Client Insurance and Benefit form and Benefit Retrieval Guide for clients to fill out their insurance coverage details.
