April Patton
Many of the students I work best with are navigating big changes—starting college, moving away from home, adjusting to new academic demands, or balancing school with work and relationships. These transitions can bring excitement, but they can also feel overwhelming. Often, students come to me dealing with anxiety, depression, or a sense of uncertainty about who they are and where they’re headed.
In our work together, I use a trauma-informed approach, which means I prioritize creating a safe, respectful space where you feel heard and understood. I look at the whole person—your biology, your thoughts and emotions, your relationships, and your spiritual life if that’s important to you. Faith and spirituality can be integrated into our sessions as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
My goal is to help you adapt to college life, manage stress, and build tools that support both your mental health and your overall well-being. I want you to feel empowered to face challenges, develop resilience, and move toward the life you want to create.
