April Evans
People with self-critical thoughts, perfectionists, those who find it difficult to understand their own feelings, I am not here to change your thoughts, or to get rid of them; I don't believe that's possible, even if we can sometimes ignore them for a couple hours. But I do believe we can learn to respond to those thoughts differently, in ways that acknowledge and makes space for them, but doesn't leave you getting pushed around by them, doing things that don't feel like "you."
I'm sure you have your reservations, that's normal and healthy. Therapy isn't easy! But if you're not happy with how things have been - how you've been treating yourself, others, the world around you - I would love to talk. I try my best to make therapy more than just "feeling your feelings." I want you to come away with a sense of peace and preparedness.
Here's the part where I try to convince you I'm not a lizard in a therapist suit. My favorite Pokémon is Vulpix, I love Dungeons and Dragons, and cheesecake is objectively the best food. Thank you for reading, fellow humans. Talk to you soon, maybe!
