Anqi Guo
Hi there, I'm Anqi. I am a first-generation, queer, Chinese therapist who is fluent in Mandarin, English, as well as conversational Japanese.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience supporting individuals and families from diverse cultural and relational backgrounds. You may be seeking therapy for stress, disconnection, identity concerns, or something harder to name. Whatever brings you here, I aim to offer a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where we can explore what matters to you. I believe therapy isn’t just about addressing problems or easing pain, but also about making space for growth, meaning, and emotional depth. I hope to co-create a genuine, evolving relationship with you as we navigate this process together.
My work is grounded in trauma-informed, humanistic, and existential approaches. I also draw from mindfulness, CBT, ACT, and family systems when helpful. I recognize that trauma, whether with a "T" or a "t", can shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Therapy can help explore these patterns with curiosity, compassion, and care toward healing.
Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and vulnerable. I aim to meet you with care, curiosity, and respect for your pace. My role isn’t to give answers, but to walk alongside you as we explore what works for you. If you're curious about working together, I’d be happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
