Hi, I’m Annie Scoltock (she/her), a provisionally licensed psychotherapist at Roamers Therapy.
Difficult emotions are a natural part of the human experience and I believe every person deserves access to a space where they feel safe, supported, and free from judgment. Therapy can be a place for reflection, transformation, and healing, especially when we feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain. I am ready to develop a partnership in this process as you navigate life’s natural ups and downs and I truly believe in each person’s capacity for growth and change.
My approach to therapy is integrative and relational, meaning I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices while tailoring our work to fit your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. I also believe that the relationship we build together is central to the healing process. When therapy feels safe, collaborative, and rooted in trust, it opens the door for deeper reflection, growth, and meaningful change.
At the core of my practice is a deep belief in your worth. I lead with unconditional positive regard, offering a space where you can feel seen, heard, and valued without judgment. I see the best in my clients and work collaboratively to help them see the best in themselves. At the same time, I’m here to challenge and support you in becoming the version of yourself that best aligns with your values, needs, and goals.
I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. These frameworks offer practical tools and meaningful insights that can support change here and now. I am also particularly interested in the power of narrative, how we make meaning of our experiences, and how reauthoring those stories can be a source of healing and empowerment. My work is always grounded in the belief that healing is possible, and that you are the expert of your own experience.
I have experience working with individuals who have faced trauma in many forms, especially trauma rooted in social and systemic oppression. With systems in mind, I approach this work through a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens, always considering the social, familial, and structural factors that shape our mental health.
I believe strongly in the importance of community as central to healing and growth. Therapy doesn’t happen in isolation -- it’s a partnership, and it’s also connected to the larger systems we move through. My goal is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your strength, deepen your sense of self, and move toward the version of you that feels most whole and true.
