Sometimes therapy feels like it’s going nowhere, as if you’re just getting a listening ear, without actually learning how to get better. If you’d like to get real tools for handling life’s challenges, and you’re ready to put in the work, I can help.

Maybe you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, sleep troubles, or dating and relationship issues. Whatever you're facing, you’re probably putting a lot of pressure on yourself to figure things out. Working with me will challenge you to change the way you think and make life more enjoyable.

When we meet, we’ll spend some time getting to know each other and coming up with the most appropriate plan of attack. You’ll let me know what feels most important to work on first. Together we’ll identify where you want to go and what’s been getting in your way. With support and practice, you’ll master the skills you need to get there ... and to help yourself feel better for the rest of your life.

Before entering mental health counseling, I spent 25 years as a journalist and audio producer, practicing deep curiosity about people—and how to dismantle the often painful stories we tell ourselves. I'm also a stepmom to three amazing young adults. If you value a warm, down-to-earth attitude combined with clinical know-how (and humor), we may be a fit.

In-person sessions are available in Rochester, New York; telehealth available anywhere in New York state.
