Anna Barton
Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or ready for meaningful change? Are you looking for more than just symptom management to understand yourself more deeply, develop healthier patterns, and create a life that feels more aligned and authentic?
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), I help you explore your experiences with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools. My specialties include navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and questions around identity and purpose.
Every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted for who they are. As your therapist, I strive to be a compassionate and collaborative partner in your healing process and look forward to supporting you as you develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and connection with yourself.
I believe therapy is a space where you should feel seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change at your own pace. Our work together is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity to achieve just that, integrating evidence-based approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, cognitive-based interventions, and person-centered therapy to help you better understand yourself, heal from past experiences, and build a stronger relationship with your thoughts, emotions, and inner world.
Therapy is tailored to your unique needs, values, and goals, using this same collaborative and compassionate style throughout our work together. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you reconnect with your own strengths and wisdom.
My path to becoming a therapist grew from my own deep interest in human healing, self-discovery, and the ways people transform through meaningful support and connection. A background in Mindfulness, meditation, and contemplative practices deepened my appreciation for the complexity of the human experience and the importance of approaching each person with compassion and curiosity. I bring this same warmth, authenticity, and a holistic perspective to each session now while honoring each patient's unique story and journey.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, traveling, practicing yoga and meditation, reading, and exploring creative and spiritual practices. I also love learning about different cultures, spending time with loved ones, and finding moments of curiosity and wonder in everyday life.
