Ellie Mental Health
Hello! My name is Anjum (sounds like: Un-Joom), and I am a Licensed Masters Social Worker with 3 years of experience in mental health. I received my Masters of Social Work degree with a focus in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Minnesota. I am passionate about helping young people address their unique challenges in a culturally responsive manner that is aware of the impact of social structures. I am the daughter of immigrants and has navigated the dichotomy of being born in the U.S. and having an ethnic minority identity -- especially having been a 1st generation college and graduate student. That comes with a lot of pressure This—coupled with her interest in social justice, mental health, feminism, and community—has widened her perspective on mental health treatment and how healing looks different for everyone. I specialize in trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, relationship issues, imposter syndrome, school anxiety, insomnia, and addiction and recovery.
