Mindfulness Based Counseling
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I earned my MS and PhD from the University of Arkansas with a focus on clinical mental health counseling and mindfulness. I have been practicing since 2010 and my work primarily has been as a Senior Mental Health Clinician at the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Previously, I was a Counselor in Residence for University Housing serving as a counselor for on-campus students. I have also worked with children and adolescents as part of my internships as a graduate student from 2008-2010. I call Fayetteville and Northwest Arkansas home and have lived in this amazing town since 2003.
My expertise is in the areas of mindfulness, self-esteem, introversion concerns, anxiety, depression, trauma, family dynamics, pregnancy/postpartum, multicultural concerns, and relational distress. Please visit my website for more information and resources.
I am grateful to be able to serve as a counselor as I have grown up wanting to do this work. I am passionate about being a guide and counsel for others as they deepen and clarify their life, and I want to aid in their search for meaning, connection and contentedness. Our lives inevitably have struggles and periods of confusion, and I deeply value the strife and courage towards wholeness and health. I encourage this journey for everyone and will be honored to be a part of yours.
