Life is full of challenges, which I view as opportunities for growth and learning. I've worked with college students on MSU's campus for nearly 10 years which has given me a depth of understanding to the unique challenges you face. I join alongside clients who are facing a wide range of issues including: navigating life transitions, interpersonal relationship conflicts, academic or professional challenges, adjusting to changes at home or in the family structure, exposure to abuse or neglect, establishing boundaries in relationships, healing from past trauma, and navigating grief and loss. We are all on our own journeys and I welcome the opportunity to join you on yours.
Our work together will be interactive and reflective, with a healthy mix of challenge and humor. We will collaborate to find the approach that best meets your needs, and your feedback and input is an essential part of the process. I incorporate a trauma-informed lens to my work and seek to understand how past experiences have shaped our current disposition and automatic responses. I am committed to providing treatment that is anti-racist, culturally responsive and affirming.
My practice is client-centered and strengths-based. I utilize a warm, accepting and compassionate approach. I believe in the power of the professional relationship between client/therapist and I want to work alongside you to improve your current situation and reach your desired goals.
