Amy Syper
I’m Dr. Amy Syper, a licensed psychologist and founder of Strength in Becoming. As a dancer I have seen and experienced the damaging effects of body image distress and eating concerns along with the healing powers of dance. I specialize in eating disorder treatment and have worked with adolescents and adults with eating disorders at all levels of care- from inpatient hospitalization to outpatient therapy. I am passionate about helping clients build a safe and supportive relationship with their body. In addition to “talk therapy” I offer dance/movement therapy sessions to help clients strengthen their mind-body connection, build new insights into emotional experiences, and improve self-esteem. I also have experience working in college counseling centers, supporting individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship stress, identity exploration, ADHD, and executive functioning. Visit my website for more details on my experience and to book a free consultation!
