Hi there! I'm Amy, and I'm so glad you're here. Congratulations on taking the step to seek counseling. You might be faced with something that you aren't quite sure how to navigate, or you just need a listening ear outside your circle. I'm happy to help!

I am a graduate of Liberty University and have been working in the mental health field since 2008 in different capacities, most recently including as a Director of a mental health agency and now in my private practice. I have supervised people in different positions, so if your workplace is where your struggle is, let's talk! Sometimes it could be as simple as learning how to communicate better. I have been providing counseling professionally for almost 7 years, although many friends and family sought my advice way before that.

My therapeutic approach is centered around understanding and empathy. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, or relationship issues, I'm here to guide you through your journey. Adolescents have also been an age group that I enjoy working with as I was a part of many youth groups growing up and counseled many teenagers along the way.

I specialize in a variety of areas including antisocial behavior, anxiety, bipolar disorder, children's mental and behavioral health, adolescent and teen mental and behavioral health, depression, family relationships, life transitions, intimate and romantic relationships, spirituality, stress, and trauma. Each person's experience is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs.

On a personal note, I am married to my high school sweetheart and just celebrated 14 years of marriage. Marriage is one of those relationships that takes work and with the right skills, can be successful. We have a beautiful daughter who has taught me about parenting and life balance. It doesn't mean it has always been rainbows and butterflies, but if you take the time to talk then change can come from that.

I look forward to talking to you soon!
