Hi, I’m Amber. I’m so glad you’re here! Was it difficult getting here? I know sometimes it can be pretty scary when searching for a therapist. Especially in our community. Don’t worry, you’re safe now. Find your favorite cozy spot and let’s settle in for some laughter and tears. Have others been kind to you? I know what it's like to be shamed based on religious stances, so rest assured, I won’t be trying to push any beliefs into our sessions. You are valued just as you are. Free to explore and dream and reach those goals you’ve got hidden behind the fear of judgment and all that is holding you back. And while we do, I’ll be here. Let me share a little about myself. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 10 1/2 years. I believe in what I do. I have my own therapist who helps me grow and process through my own struggles. I grew up in a very conservative and religious family, so I know those beliefs well. It took me 25 years to finally love myself enough to risk living my truth and be openly gay, knowing it would result in leaving most of my family behind. I wish everyone could embrace how great our community is, but that’s not the world we live in.

My therapy approach is person-centered. What does that mean? Well, it means you are the expert on your life. Only you know where your truths and boundaries lie. My job is to support you, encourage you and help you find those truths that are already inside you. So let’s get started! I can’t wait to see what beautiful story we will uncover!
