Prior to opening my practice, I worked with college students for four years in various college counseling centers. I enjoy working with this population, as it is a time for challenge, growth, and change.
I identify as a generalist, and have specialized skills in the treatment of trauma and PTSD, anxiety disorders, and autism spectrum disorder. In addition, I have significant experience in working with relationship concerns, grief and loss, women's issues, and life transitions. In my practice, I draw from many evidence-based theories and interventions including Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I believe the therapeutic alliance is the foundation of treatment, and therefore work to establish and maintain an empathetic and non-judgmental environment where patients feel safe, heard, and supported. Ultimately, a strong therapeutic relationship leads to an ability to challenge patients to achieve their goals, reach their fullest potential, and create lasting change. I am aware of the privilege it is to be on this journey with my patients, and I bring my authentic self and expertise to each session.
