I bring a unique perspective to therapy, shaped by over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I began my career as a psychologist specializing in anxiety and eating disorders at an academic health center. Later, I transitioned into the corporate world, starting as an individual contributor and eventually serving in leadership roles. As a mother of three grown children, I have spent many years balancing full-time work while raising a family—my husband and I still marvel at how we managed it all. These diverse experiences have given me a deep understanding of the pressures people face in juggling demanding careers, relationships, and mental health.
After moving to California, I enrolled in a doctoral program to earn my PsyD, and I am in the process of becoming licensed in the state. My background combines clinical expertise, personal experience, and the most up-to-date psychological training.
I primarily work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. I also have experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. My therapeutic style is structured, collaborative, and focused on measurable outcomes. Together, we’ll clarify your goals, identify what may be getting in the way, and apply practical tools to help you move forward. Research—and my own experience—shows that the best results occur when clients actively engage with homework between sessions. We’ll track your progress together to ensure therapy is effective for you.
Most clients complete therapy in 8 to 12 sessions. Since therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, we will monitor your progress and decide together when you're ready to conclude. Success means a clear reduction in symptoms, lasting skills rooted in evidence-based methods, and noticeable improvements in your daily functioning and emotional resilience.
