Dr. Allison Jackson - MindfulMD Psychiatry
Dr. Allison Jackson is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist who opened MindfulMD as a way to provide individually tailored, compassionate psychiatric care for her patients. She is currently offering comprehensive mental health care to college students in Florida, both virtual and in-person options.
MindfulMD has the core values of offering a safe, non-judgmental, & supportive environment for all. We want patients to feel comfortable being themselves, have the time to ask their questions, & be truly listened to by their psychiatrist. Dr. Allison Jackson values providing trauma-informed, LGBTQA+ affirming, culturally responsive, sex-positive, & personalized care to her patients.
Throughout her training, Dr. Jackson has honed her skills in both medication management in addition to various forms of psychotherapy including bringing in elements of psychodynamic therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has experience treating a wide variety of conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, sleep problems, sexual health issues, bipolar disorder, trauma, PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and psychodermatologic conditions such as skin picking and pulling hair (trichotillomania). She also has worked with patients on managing stress related to relationships, chronic pain or illness, burnout, grief and loss, career, or identity. Dr. Jackson specializes in college student mental health.
