Clients often tell me that I am down-to-earth and appreciate the freedom to be irreverent. I will take your concerns seriously and meet you where you are. I use trauma-informed and evidence-based treatments with a heavy dose of humor and creativity. I am strongly influenced by research on attachment, cognitive psychology, emotion-focused therapy, mindfulness, and polyvagal theory. I emphasize attention to what’s happening in the here-and-now to help you create the change you want and access healing. I work especially well with people experiencing chronic pain, chronic or complex PTSD, low self-esteem, and/or who have a history of emotional abuse.

I enjoy working with people from many different backgrounds. I began my anti-racist, anti-bias journey more than twenty years ago. I remain grateful for the patience and confrontation provided by my early teachers and mentors. I am willing to engage with openness around issues related to bias and oppression. I identify, in part, as a white, cis-gender, middle-age queer from the East Coast. I continue to do my own work.
