Alissa Schneider, MA, LPC, LMHC helps adults and teens who are struggling with weight or diet-related issues, anxiety, or with the emotional impacts of living with chronic illness. She uses the Intuitive Eating approach with the clients that she works with, so they can achieve a healthy relationship with food and with their bodies. If you’re tired of yo-yo dieting, restricting or binging, constant weight changes, and constantly feeling down about your body, Alissa can help. If you’re feeling out of control with your body and with food, counseling can help you to achieve a sense of stability and control. She integrates techniques from meditation, mindfulness, and yoga, into sessions. Alissa Schneider provides online therapy throughout the states of Florida and Alaska and is in network with some major insurance plans, including Cigna, Aetna, and UHC.

It’s not easy to live with constant concern about your weight or your body. You may struggle with not feeling comfortable in your own body or you might find yourself worrying a lot about what you are going to eat for your next snack or meal. If you’re sick of constant dieting in efforts to lose weight or tired of being frustrated by the number on the scale or how you look in the mirror, counseling can help. Alissa helps people to learn how to be comfortable in their bodies and to learn how to eat and live in a mindful and intuitive way. Alissa understands the concept of intuitive eating, and she uses this approach in her counseling with clients to help them achieve a healthy relationship with food and with their bodies.

Counseling with Alissa involves learning how to get back in touch with your body and what you are feeling both physically and mentally. Alissa helps her clients to learn how to trust their body and their experiences, and helps clients to reduce their anxiety and stress related to weight and body concerns, or physical illness. We can figure this out together.

It is difficult to fight the battle of weight or diet challenges, anxiety, or chronic illness alone, especially when you don’t feel like anyone is on your side or understands what you are going through. I help clients figure out long-term solutions, not only short-term fixes. Call or text 561-449-2478 today, or send an email to alissa@naplesflcounseling.com.
