Alexandra Khoobani
I provide compassionate therapy so that you may live more authentically, find healing, and balance. I believe your problems are real, and I will never discount them nor blow them off as “being just a phase”.
Teenagers and Young people need a healthy outlet outside of their house – A professional that they can talk with and can act as a guide to help navigate life’s challenges. For many, it is important to have a good support system and learn good coping strategies to deal with the demand of life or the distressing emotions related to anxiety, depression, and trauma. Counseling is seriously needed now, especially with COVID 19.
I offer both individual and family therapy for teenagers and young adults. Individual counseling assists you in feeling more control of your emotions and feeling more confident in your relationships. While family therapy heals the family as a whole, creating more meaningful relationships and helping to develop more effective communication.
My approach is compassionate, creative, and solution-focused. It is very important that I offer personalized care that is custom-tailored for the individual. We can talk about a variety of topics such as school, family, emotions, friendships, dating, sexual orientation, and a whole lot more. Therapy does not have to be boring! We can also use creative tools to work on your goals which may include movies, music, art, and mindfulness techniques.
