Eightfold Counseling is committed to promoting wellness for both children and adults. Alex's approach is laid-back, real-world, and at the same time rooted in theory and research-based practices. Alex is a 21 year veteran teacher in the public schools, working with students with emotional/behavioral challenges. He earned is M.Ed in Clinical Counseling in 2017, and after working alongside psychologist Amy Boland PhD, he opened Eightfold Counseling in 2018 with the intention of helping people ages 8 years old and up with a variety of mental health and wellness needs. Alex has an interest in mindfulness and meditation as a tool for anxiety management and stress reduction. Eightfold Counseling encourages clients to get curious about themselves and know that we all need help along our journey. Eightfold Counseling does just that.
