Hello! My name is Aimee, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you. With over a decade of experience as a clinician, I am deeply committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges. My therapeutic approach is warm yet realistic, rooted in empathy and active listening. I believe in a holistic approach to mental well-being, tailoring sessions and treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual. Creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can share your story is incredibly important to me, and I am always humbled by the trust my clients place in me.
I am LGBTQIA inclusive and work with adults of any age, but I have particular strengths in working with elders and caregivers of elders. My significant background in dementia care and gerontology allows me to provide specialized support in these areas. Additionally, I have extensive experience in emergency mental health care and high-risk case management care, which has equipped me with the skills to handle a wide range of mental health issues.
In terms of my professional background, I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Beyond my clinical practice, I also serve as an adjunct professor for social sciences, which keeps me engaged with the latest developments in the field and allows me to contribute to the education of future social workers.
On a personal note, I am also a mother, which adds another layer of understanding and empathy to my practice. My practice is intentionally small, allowing me to offer personalized care and attention to each of my clients. I offer after-work hours and weekend virtual visits to accommodate your schedule.
If you're ready to take the next step towards mental well-being, I would be honored to support you on your journey. Let's work together to create a path forward that feels right for you.
